About Airport Security Force

The Airport Security Force was established under the Department of Civil Aviation in 1976. Later it was placed under the Ministry of Defense in 1983 after the hijacking of a Pakistan International Airlines plane. The main objective of ASF is to maintain the law and order situation in and around all the airports of Pakistan. ASF is responsible for guarding all the 12 airports of Pakistan. ASF is also accountable for safeguarding civil aviation while securing all the aircraft and airplanes, whether inland or in the air. The headquarter of ASF is located in Karachi city.
